Situation:

Debbie A. is the Manager for a physical therapy and spa treatment center. Since, they are not a traditional Doctor’s office, Debbie and her staff had a lot of concerns about the ways HIPAA still applies to them and what their responsibilities are. They signed up with PCIHIPAA in late 2019 to get cyber-insurance and become more well-versed with their compliance needs.

Approach:

During their consultation, we demonstrated that as practitioners their business still falls under HIPAA standards and therefor remain responsible for protecting patient information. Our Account Representatives clearly explained the appropriate policies and procedures Debbie and her team needed to implement from PCIHIPAA’s OfficeSafe software to maintain compliance.
